Terms, privacy, and disclaimer

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Blcks Software Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság, a Hungarian limited-liability company (“Blcks Software Kft.”, “we”, “us”). They govern access to and use of BuyerLens, including the website at https://buyerlens.co, the application, and related APIs and documentation (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, starting a paid subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” includes that organisation.

1. The Service

BuyerLens is a software tool that analyses websites and marketing material against a buying committee derived from an ideal-customer description you supply. The Service crawls or reads material you point it at, records factual signals, and generates persona-level judgements, scores, and recommendations. Output is produced with the assistance of third-party machine-learning models.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that any particular analysis will complete, that a third-party site can be crawled, or that a model will return a given result.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and keep them current. You are responsible for credentials issued to you and for activity under your workspace, including actions by people you invite. Notify us promptly at legal@buyerlens.co if you believe an account has been compromised.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. The Service is offered to businesses and professionals. If you are a consumer under applicable law, your mandatory statutory rights are not affected.

3. Plans, fees, and taxes

Paid plans are described on the pricing page and billed through Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to the payment method you provide until you cancel. Fees are stated exclusive of VAT and other taxes unless we say otherwise. Blcks Software Kft. is established in Hungary (EU VAT HU27865118). Where reverse charge or local VAT rules apply, you are responsible for accounting for tax in your jurisdiction.

Unused project, run, or seat allowances do not roll over unless a plan expressly says so. We may change prices for a renewal term with notice before the next charge. If a payment fails, we may suspend the Service until the balance is settled.

You may cancel a subscription in the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where Hungarian or EU law requires a refund, or where we agree otherwise in writing.

4. Your content and our licence

You retain ownership of websites, documents, emails, ad creatives, prompts, and other material you submit (“Customer Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Content solely to provide and secure the Service, to prevent abuse, and as required by law.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit Customer Content and to instruct us to crawl or analyse the destinations you name. You must not upload unlawful material, or material you are not allowed to share.

5. Output and acceptable use

Analysis results, scores, recommendations, and generated text (“Output”) are licensed to you for your internal business use. Output is not legal, financial, tax, or professional marketing advice. You remain responsible for decisions you take on the basis of Output.

You will not:

• use the Service to violate law, privacy, or third-party rights;
• probe, scan, or overload the Service, or bypass access controls;
• resell raw access to the Service except under a written partner agreement;
• use Output to build a competing general-purpose audit product;
• submit content that is malware, or that you know is confidential to someone else without authority.

6. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service, including software, models-as-configured, visual design, trademarks, and documentation. These Terms do not transfer any of that ownership. Feedback you send may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.

7. Third-party services

The Service depends on processors and infrastructure we do not control, including hosting, authentication, payments, site crawling, and model inference. Their failure, rate limits, or policy changes may affect availability. Links to third-party sites, and pages we crawl at your request, are outside our control.

8. Confidentiality

Each party will protect the other’s non-public information with reasonable care and use it only to perform these Terms. This does not cover information that is public, independently developed, or rightfully received from a third party. We may disclose information if required by a court or regulator, and will try to give notice where lawful.

9. Warranties and disclaimer

The Service and Output are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment. We do not warrant that Output is complete, current, or free of hallucination or error, or that a crawl has captured every page on a site.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Hungarian law, Blcks Software Kft. and its directors, employees, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, even if advised of the possibility.

Our aggregate liability arising out of the Service is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the Hungarian Civil Code (Ptk.), including liability for intentional breach, injury to life, physical integrity, or health, or other mandatory rules.

11. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Blcks Software Kft. against claims arising from Customer Content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights, except to the extent a claim is caused by our wilful misconduct.

12. Term and termination

These Terms start when you first use the Service and continue until your account is closed. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we withdraw the Service with reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 4–11, 13, and 14) do so.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes that affect paying customers will be notified to the account email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires a different process.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, excluding conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Hungary have exclusive jurisdiction, with Budapest as the agreed venue for disputes between businesses, subject to any mandatory forum for consumers.

The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in force.

This Privacy Policy explains how Blcks Software Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (“Blcks Software Kft.”, “we”) processes personal data when you use BuyerLens. We are the data controller for account, billing, and site-usage data. For Customer Content that contains personal data of other people (for example names in an uploaded email sequence), we act as your processor and you are the controller.

We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act CXII of 2011 on informational self-determination (Infotv.).

We have not appointed a separate data-protection officer. Privacy requests go to the managing director, Ercsey-Orbán Péter, via the address above.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, password hash or OAuth identifiers, workspace membership, and the names you choose for projects.
• Billing data: plan, subscription status, and invoices. Card numbers are collected by Stripe, not stored on our servers.
• Customer Content: URLs, ICP descriptions, uploaded files, pasted emails, ad creatives, and the analysis we derive from them.
• Usage data: pages viewed, approximate device and browser, and referral information, including data collected by our analytics provider.
• Support: messages you send to us.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Providing the Service, authenticating you, and running analyses — performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Charging fees, invoicing, and bookkeeping — contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)), including Hungarian accounting rules.
• Securing the Service, preventing abuse, and debugging — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Product analytics on the marketing site — legitimate interests, and consent where a cookie or similar identifier requires it.
• Responding to requests and legal process — legal obligation or legitimate interests.

4. Processors and transfers

We use specialised providers to operate the Service, including:

• hosting and application delivery (including Vercel);
• database, authentication, and file storage (including Supabase);
• payment processing (Stripe);
• model inference for analysis (OpenAI and similar providers);
• website crawling at your instruction (Firecrawl and similar providers);
• privacy-respecting analytics (datafa.st).

Some providers are established outside the EEA. Where that is the case, we rely on an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any supplementary measures the provider documents. Customer Content sent to a model provider is processed to generate your analysis and is subject to that provider’s enterprise or API terms.

5. Retention

Account and project data are kept while the account is active. After deletion we remove or irreversibly anonymise Customer Content within a reasonable period, except copies retained for legal, tax, or security purposes. Invoice and accounting records are kept for the periods required by Hungarian law (typically eight years). Analytics data is kept in aggregated or short-lived form according to the provider’s settings.

6. Your rights

If we are the controller of your data, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior lawful processing.

Write to privacy@buyerlens.co. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH), 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11., naih.hu, or with your local EU supervisory authority.

7. Cookies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect the Service. The marketing site may load a first-party analytics script. We do not sell personal data and we do not use advertising pixels to build profiles for third-party ads.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We will post updates on this page and change the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify the account email.

The Service produces AI-assisted analysis of websites and marketing material. Output is not legal, financial, tax, or professional marketing advice, and it does not replace your own review, advisers, or decisions. Except for warranties or liability that Hungarian law does not allow us to exclude — including intentional breach and injury to life, physical integrity, or health — we give no warranty that Output is accurate, complete, current, or will achieve any business result.

Blcks Software Kft. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or harm to reputation arising from use of the Service. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim.

We do not warrant that a third-party site can be crawled, that a crawl returns a complete sitemap, or that a model response is free of error. You are responsible for the lawfulness of material you submit and destinations you ask us to crawl.

Mandatory consumer-protection and civil-law rights are unaffected. These documents are governed by Hungarian law.
